Private Asthma Clinic
At Kent Family Medical, we provide expert asthma care with personalised monitoring and treatment plans based on the latest clinical guidance.
Our service is designed for both adults and children, ensuring prompt access to the right tests and advice – without long waits.
We follow the updated joint NICE/SIGN/BTS asthma guidelines (November 2024), which have reshaped how asthma is diagnosed, monitored and managed. These updates include:
- FeNO testing (Fractional exhaled Nitric Oxide) to detect airway inflammation (ages 5+)
- Eosinophil blood testing for allergy-related inflammation (ages 12+)
- New inhaler prescribing pathways and medication reviews
- Regular review schedules tailored by age group
If you’re searching for an asthma clinic near me, our GP-led asthma service combines advanced diagnostics with ongoing support from a team that stays up to date with national best practice.
If you or your child may have undiagnosed asthma, we recommend booking a standard face-to-face GP appointment. Initial tests will be carried out, and if asthma is confirmed, you can choose to continue care with your NHS GP or join one of our tailored asthma management packages.
Feno Testing
FeNO testing for asthma is a non-invasive breathing test that measures inflammation in your airways. It helps assess how active your asthma is and whether treatment needs adjusting.
We offer FeNO testing in children aged 5 and over, using it alongside clinical history and other tests to guide diagnosis and management decisions.
Private Spirometry Test
Spirometry measures how well your lungs are working by assessing how much air you can breathe out and how fast. It is especially useful for confirming asthma in adults and older children, and for ongoing monitoring.
If you’re looking for a private spirometry test near me, we offer same-week appointments with interpretation and follow-up provided by experienced GPs.
